History

Having sent five missionaries to Cambodia since 2000, VESA has endeavored to “establish colleges and raise Christian leaders.” The symbol of VESA resembles the “beacon” that sheds light on the darkness of the earth, and the “torch” that leads the era. It also represents the “pen” for teaching and wisdom, and the “bud” growing from the earth. The two semicircles symbolize the pursuit of unity within diversity, as their distinct hues harmonize and complement each other. Just as the three primary colors — blue, red, and green — make white, these semicircles represent the hopes of harmony through cooperation and devotion. The green coaster on the bottom signifies the spirit of service, as it tightly holds the circle on the top. The white space between the two semicircles symbolizes the cross, and the entire shape represents an image of a person filled with joy.
